Today I thought about some things that would be very cool to have on an Android phone. So I got my lazy butt up and started browsing the Market and found something that is very useful to a lot of our readers...A VOIP app for your G1.

iSkoot, a San Francisco based web communications company has a very slick VOIP solution for the T-Mobile G1 phone.

So grab that G1, log onto the app market and look for iSkoot for Skype. After you download it you will be able to make IP calls internationally for pennies and IM of course.

You should check out Voxofon app on G1 (info at Voxofon.com)

It allows you to place int'l calls from your phone's Contacts and Dialer as usual. No need to launch the app for each call. Very competitive rates.

Just install it from the Market and try to make a call abroad - without even launching the app :)

I love that you don't have to launch the application to make voip calls. It's a cool solution at a good price although free would be better.
