Cell Phone Tetris For The T-Mobile G1

iconiconMost people who have known me for any amount of time, know that I love to play Tetris. Every since ’89 I have been blowing up lines, rows and minos. My game boy used to beg for mercy as I smashed my own high score time after time, using my lighting fast thumbs in a blur of record smashing maneuvers.  Now that its available for the G1 I must admit that I get nervous just thinking about the angry readers that could potentially be lost as a result of my uncontrolled Tetrominoe spinning habit.

EA Mobile released Tetris for the T-Mobile G1 icon Android platform and it is better than ever. The G1′s high resolution touch screen makes the gaming experience soooo 21 centuryish. There are three challenging modes to keep your interest for hours upon hours. The 40 Lines mode requires you to Clear out lines and rows as fast as possible to rack up a big score . Its a race against the clock in the high thrills Ultra mode. Marathon mode is a test of your Tetris skill to see how long you can survive as the Minos rain down faster and faster.

The colors are stunning and the animations are sick. Awesome sound effects keep you entertained as you blow past level after level (if you are any good).

You can pick up Tetris for the T-Mobile G1 icon for less than eight bucks. The hours of great classic gaming entertainment are well worth it.
