If you didn’t know now you know. The Android 1.5 cupcake update is being pushed out, but if you can’t wait for T-Mo to bless you with the goods this is how you can update it yourself. We are not responsible if you brick your phone use at your own risk and make sure you have plenty of juice (battery).

1. Grab this zip file from >>>Click Here<<<. Do not unzip it.
2. Rename the zip file to update
3. Move the zip file to the root of your SD card.
4. Turn off your phone. When it has completely powered down, restart the phone by pressing and holding the home button and power button at the same time until you get the little triangle.
5. Hit ALT + L
6. Hit ALT + S
7. Wait…Wait…Wait…Wait some more. Be patient Wait!
8. Bam!!!  You got the new Android 1.5 update, enjoy!
